Luluncoto Women do not get freedom

Judges Merk Benavides, Edgar Flores and Kaiser Arevalo, members of the Administrative Litigation Division of the National Court of Justice, considered as insufficient, the arguments presented by the defense and confirmed prison for Cristina Campoverde and Abigail Heras, in the case known as “The 10 of Luluncoto”, accused over alleged terrorism.

After the hearing, the girls returned to the El Inca prison, in Quito, showing a state of fatigue and exhaustion, especially due to the hunger strike declared last month to call for quick trials. As is known, in earlier days 7 other companions, who were stopped by the same accusation, were released under habeas corpus, while another one was released because of her pregnancy.
