Mafalda celebrates 50 years with an exhibition in Costa Rica

The exhibition “The world according to Mafalda”, in the city of San José, Costa Rica, pays homage to the 50 years of the comic strip
Mafalda, a controversial little girl worried about humanity, whose critical judgments, full of innocence and irony, have been with us forever. Joaquín Salvador Lavado Tejón, better known as Quino, is the creator of this rebellious cartoon strip, to which the exhibition “The World According to Mafalda”, pays tribute in the city of San Jose, Costa Rica, for its 50 years.
`Mafalda is a girl who did not play with dolls, but played with her worlds, then she had a world for everything and for every occasion. This exhibition has been well received by the public because this girl is a bit of us , analytical, critical, mocking, friendly, is closely related to the human being of today and yesterday,´ said Dayana Hutchinson, coordinator of the sample, to the Efe agency.
