Martin Pallares responds to Rafael Correa

Posted On 26 Jun 2017

Ecuadornews:

The journalist of the 4Pegalatos website Martín Pallares responded today to former President Rafael Correa on the criminal complaint the latter has filed against him.

“Tell Correa that I’m going to a wedding … But I’m coming back. To see him in the hearing. And I hope he does not bark and really appears,” wrote Pallares on his Twitter account, alluding to Correa’s cousin Pedro Delgado, a fugitive from Ecuadorian justice, who went to a wedding in Miami and has not yet returned.

Pallares is one of the most prestigious journalists in the country.
The former president accuses the journalist of allegedly uttering “expressions of dishonor” against him in an article published in 4 Pelagatos in April 2017. (I)
