Massa beats ruling party in Buenos Aires
The mayor of the city of Tigre, Sergio Massa, defeated at the polls the official candidate in the province of Buenos Aires. The Government also lost in the four other districts, facing the worst electoral defeat in the decade that has been in power.
The party “Frente para la Victoria” led by Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner, is losing more and more support to finish her second term. In this election the rulling party lost in the top five districts in the country: Buenos Aires, Capital Federal, Cordoba, Santa Fe and Mendoza.
In the province of Buenos Aires, the party “Partido Renovador”, led by Massa exceeded by nearly 6 points the rulling list headed by Martin Insaurralde.
These are the results of the exit polls of Open Primaries, systematic and mandatory (STEP for its Spanish acronym), which seeks the elections of October 27.
