Match Between Ecuador and Peru Ended in a Tie
The Ecuadorian soccer team disputed a friendly game with Peru in the Dutch city of La Haya. The game is a preparation for Copa America that will begin in July. During the first time of the game, the Ecuadorian players dominated the field. However, the tricolor team lost its chance to score a goal when, in minute 22, Walter Ayovi made a penalty kick, but the Peruvian goalie, Salomon Libman, caught the ball.
The performance of Ecuadorian newcomer, Edson Montaño, was acceptable during the game, even when Ayovi gave him a shot near the goal, which Montaño missed. In the second time of the match the Peruvian team tried to score the winning point, but their attempts did not gave obtained any points.
The next match for the Ecuadorian team will be against the Argentinean team in May.
