Members of the National Police will undergo evaluation process

Ecuadorian police will be evaluated
Within the plan of the National Police to purge its ranks of members who are allegedly involved in events related to the crime, they will also be tested for the use of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.
The evaluation will be conducted by the Inspector General of Police, which is expected to be completed in two and half years, period in which the process will evaluate over 40 officers.
During this period they will proceed with the separation of the officers who have committed gross misconduct or criminal offenses.
While the Inspector General of Police, Fabian Solano explained that the Comprehensive Assessment of the Trust called several parameters to be measured.
The first, the toxicology test, the second will be a socio-economic analysis, this is because the Interior Minister, Jose Serrano, reported to the Comptroller that 782 officers of various ranks have not done their 2013 declaration of assets. The fourth assessment will include psychometric studies and polygraph.
Additionally Serrano revealed that so far in 2013, 473 police officers have been arrested by their peers for committing crimes.
