Metrovia card will be mandatory in 7 stations

In 7 Metrovia stations, users will only be able to use the service with the electronic card.

The use of the electronic card will be mandatory in 7 Metrovia stations, in the city of Guayaquil. The routes include the stations located in the north of the city: Alborada, Samanes, Garzota, Orellana, Guayacanes, Sauces and Juan Tanca Marengo, so the entity reported that “Cash payments will not be allowed” from today.

One of the problems with this mechanism is the recharge of the card, as users must make long queues to deposit the money on the devices. Suggestions were made through social networks, like placing recharge machines in pharmacies, supermarket chains, even within the units.

In recent days, an increase on the value of the cards was provided. This would be the second statement of the Metrovia Foundation.
