Metrovía Will Implement Video Cameras to Maximize Security

Posted On 12 Apr 2011

54 theft allegations on buses received from January 2010 to February 2011and customer complaints about some other irregularities has led to the authorities of Foundation Metrovía to implement video cameras in each of its shuttle buses in order to record what happens inside and then analyze it.

Each of the 110 Metrovia buses is equipped with a camera. Next week, the installation process will begin in the buses.

There is already a vehicle fitted with a video camera: the 2148, working in the circuit of Guayas Judicial Police (PJG). This vehicle has helped to make the tests.
