The Minister of Telecommunications, Augusto Espín, said that private telephone companies Claro and Movistar reached an agreement with the Government for extending the spectrum of the 4G network.
Espín said negotiations concluded with the enterprises and now “is an issue of process. All conditions are agreed 100%. “To terminate this contract administrative formalities would take about two weeks, according to the Minister.
Espín said he reserves the price information and conditions until the process is definitively concluded.
“Essentially you need to bring to Conatel (National Telecommunications Council for its Spanish acronym) the negotiated conditions, have the debate and approve the conditions for the contract to be signed later” he said.
