Case Glas Viejo takes a new turn

Last Friday Mirian Moncayo, the attorney that investigates the case today said the Cueva Limones pushed the mother to leave its first attorney, Robert Macias Veliz, who sponsored her since the demand was made before the Judicial Police of Guayas.

The mother of the minor confirmed that Cueva Limones presented Jean Piero Campodonico Perez, who from 2007 works for the National Council of Electricity (Conecel for its Spanish acronym) which is directed by the Ministry of Strategic Sectors ran by Jorge Glas Espinel, son of the accused.

During the early days prior to the controversial trial, the mother and the minor were taken to the office of Cueva so they change their facts, the mother said that her daughter had to read a document for the former prosecutor Cueva. “The paper said that my daughter had made a mistake, that she didn’t told me the truth because she had another boyfriend who was the real father of the child,” added the mother.

Cesar Neira, the current sponsor of the mother denounced Jorge Glas Viejo and “maintained that the process against Jorge Heriberto Glas Viejo is a preliminary investigation, which must be analysed for malfeasance, illicit association, collusion and hiding tortures and sexual violation against a minor.” AV
