Moreno congratulates the achievements of athletes abroad

The president of Ecuador Lenin Moreno celebrated today the achievements of several local athletes in the last hours in different international competitions.

“The country embraces Glenda Morejon! Gold medal in Nairobi. An example for our youth and pride for Ecuador,” the head of state wrote in his Twitter account, referring to the athlete who won a gold medal in the 5,000 meters test in the World Youth Athletics held in Kenya.
He also magnified Stalin Mosquera, who won the silver medal at the World Paralympic Games, held in London, with a mark of 16.72 meters. “What a pride. This is our Ecuador, inclusive and diverse!” he wrote. (I)
