Multilateral measures to replace safeguards would be defined this week

The government would define this week the multilateral measures that would replace exchange safeguards that are currently applied  to imported products from Colombia and Peru.

The Minister of Production, Richard Espinosa, said: “we will go from bilateral to multilateral action measures (…) this will be taken later this month (…) but we do not rule out that it may be next week.”

Espinosa said that everything would depend on the progress of the technical talks” that are currently hold.
