Municipal servers can not stand being unpaid
The situation for them is unsustainable. So much that municipal employees of Montecristi and Flavio Alfaro (Manabí) have protested in peaceful marches to demand the payment of their salary arrears. Another Manabi county, Pichincha, analyzes to join the list of municipalities that protest in the streets. This will depend on the resolution adopted by the association of municipal servers in a meeting scheduled for the end of this month, Guillermo Contreras, Vice President of the National Federation of Municipal Employees told this to daily Expreso.
The national guild also prepares an appointment in Quito with the heads of all the associations of the country to discuss the situation in each of the municipalities and the measures to be adopted. However, because of the winter season, the date of this meeting could be tranferred, which was also planned for the end of this month. “We are planning everything. God willing rains do not cause damage, because in some places there are problems and the arrival is difficult,” said Contreras. (I)
