Nebot rejects debate proposal from Bonilla

Posted On 14 Feb 2014

The mayor and candidate for reelection, Jaime Nebot, rejects the possibility of debating, since he ensures that he will not debate with candidates: “My argument is not with her, I discuss my subjects, which are the every day subjects of people, with people. I do not participate in these shows.”

Meanwhile, Viviana Bonilla, candidate for mayor of Guayaquil by Alianza PAIS, says she is willing to discuss their proposed campaign with the right-wing candidate.

“It is never too late to discuss, we would never have fled the debate, on the contrary, who aspires to lead the city of Guayaquil should discuss with responsibility, with dignity, with respect to the problems that afflict citizens: mobility, security the problems of basic services,” said Bonilla six days before the end of the campaign.
