New Daular airport will open in 2024
The consultant Leigh Fisher will deliver on next month to the municipal foundation Guayaquil Airport Authority (AAG for its Spanish acronym), the Master Plan of the new international Daular airport.
This became known yesterday when the international company presented before Mayor Jaime Nebot a summary of the features of the air terminal, whose construction will start in 2019, in order to finish the first phase in 2024.
The work will be carried out in four stages from 2024 to 2053, said Bolivian Alceste Venturini, project manager and staff member of Leigh Fisher.
Nebot said the Daular airport will be inaugurated in 2024, when the current lease ends between AAG and Tagsa, which operates the José Joaquín de Olmedo airport. Then this airport will reach 7,000,000 passengers. To meet this demand they are expanding it, a work that will be ready this July.
