Nebot would support a referendum to establish indefinite reelection

Jaime Nebot, Mayor of Guayaquil, called to the Constitutional Court a “Constitutional Ministry from the Executive”, which yesterday installed to meet the amendments to the Constitution proposed by Alianza País.

Nebot said that such amendments to the Constitution must be made consulting the people.

“I will never favor the unlimited and indefinite reelection, nor in the private sector it is appropriate, worse in the public sector, and I’ve said clearly, I think that a referendum should go, it must be supported strongly,” he said.
