Neighbors come together to save their sales with a local guide
Ecuadornews:
Doctors offices, shops, restaurants, hardware stores, cyber cafes, pharmacies, hairdressers, and workshops are part of a commercial guide titled ‘La Voz de Mucho Lote 2,’ which was launched two weeks ago, in the context of a neighborhood project to encourage trade in the sector.
The initiative, led by Otto Esparza, coordinator of the external area of Villa España 2, has the support of 97 businesses and hundreds of residents of the ten housing complexes in the sector that have benefited from the plan. In total, 5,000 brochures have been distributed.
“Neither my family nor I had any idea how many things we could find, and this has made our lives easier. It’s like a telephone directory of a thriving neighborhood,” says Hilda Pesantez, a resident of Paraíso del Rio. (I)
