New Code of Processes will go to the Official Gazette

Yesterday, with four votes, the veto to the Code of General Processes (COGEP) was resolved at the plenary session of the Assembly. The document will be forwarded to the Official Gazette in the coming days.

According to pro-government assembly members, this Code, along with the Comprehensive Organic Criminal Code will contribute “to the radical transformation of justice in the country.”

The COGEP implements the processing of lawsuits in the oral system, it strengthens alternative means of conflict resolution and provides for a time reduction to solve cases.
