Number of child migrants that cross the US border decreases

The numbers of immigrant children who arrive alone each month to the United States fell in August to 3,129, according to the Department of Homeland Security.
Since last October, 66,127 children have been arrested for illegally crossing the border from Mexico to the United States. This figures correspond to an 88% more than the 35,209 of the same period last year.
In August, most of the children who were captured were from El Salvador (1,281), followed by Mexico (1,027), Guatemala (795) and Honduras (393).
