One of the wagons of the first train of the Quito Metro has been vandalized

The morning of this Sunday, September 9, a band composed of about 20 individuals assaulted the workshops and garages of the Quito Metro located in Quitumbe, the Mayor’s Office reported.

These individuals gagged and immobilized a group of security guards who guarded the place, the statement said.

The aggressors managed to draw graffiti on one of the wagons, before being repelled by the rest of the security guards of this work front, “thus preventing the attack from being perpetrated on all the wagons of the first train of the Quito Metro”, Add.

The wagons arrived in the capital on Thursday, September 6.

The Municipality reported that, in order to safeguard the mobility project of all the citizens of Quito, it carried out the corresponding legal actions to get the Police to identify and capture the aggressors.

He described the action as “an inexplicable attack on the city and its future, which deserves to be sanctioned in an exemplary manner by justice and society in general.”

“The Mayor of Quito rejects and condemns this act of aggression and invites the public to contribute by providing information on those responsible for its identification,” the statement ends. (I)
