Operation Link 91 resulted in the arrest of 14 people for drug micro-trafficking

They used to provide the home-delivery service. They relied on technology to collect orders. It was a well organized group. But on Monday night and early yesterday morning, thanks to the operation Link 91, the police ended these drug micro-trafficking activities in northern Quito.
This is a group made up of 14 people. All Ecuadorian: seven women and seven men were arrested. The main distributor used her underage daughter to evade controls, said Deputy Interior Minister Diego Fuentes.
In addition, there were two more distributors, three supplied the merchandise, one collected it, two were chauffeurs and three of them were retailers.
The last member of the criminal network was in charge of security. He is an active member of the police. The officer will be separated from the ranks.
the arrest of the police agent was not a surprise, said the deputy minister. This complies, he said, to the permanent monitoring made to all members of the institution.
To dismantle the group, three months of investigations made by the National Narcotics Direction were needed. About a kilo of cocaine was found in possession of those arrested, reported the Narcotics director Edmundo Moncayo.
