Palestinian Demands Official Borders with Israel

The Palestinian negotiator, Yaser Abed Rabbo, urged the United States and Israel the definition of the borders of the Israeli State.

“We officially ask the Government of the United States and Israel to present a map with the borders of the Israeli State they want to recognize”, said Abed Rabo, who is also the advisor of the President of Authority, Mahmud Abas.

“If this map is based on the 1967 borders and it provides an ending of the Israeli occupation of all Palestinian territories (…) we will recognize Israel with the name it has,” said Abed without further details.

“We are also waiting a response of Tel Aviv and Washington,” added the negotiator.

The Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu proposed on Monday partial new moratorium colonization if the Palestinian officials recognize Israel as a Nation of the Jewish people, which was rejected by the Authority because it was not related to the peace process.

On Tuesday, the United States urged the Palestinian to make a counter proposal regarding the demands of Netnayahu.
