Panama Canal will have its own mobile app

Canal de Panamá-AplicaciónAs part of its strategy of national and international communication, the Panama Canal Authority (ACP) announced its new application for mobile devices using operating systems as iOS (Apple, iPhone and iPad,) Android and Windows Phone.

“We have excellent content about what we do every day in the waterway, and with the new applications we will carry it directly to our audiences,” said Jorge Luis Quijano, Canal Administrator.

The BlackBerry device will also feature the mobile application of the Panama Canal, which “will be available in coming days,” he said. It should be stressed that this will be the first version of the tool.

Its users may access the web cameras, state of the tides (in the Pacific and the Caribbean), weather radar, pictures and videos.

Besides receiving current data and information to visit the Canal, especially during this year that the waterway celebrates its centenary operations.
