Paul Salazar is appointed president of CNE

The Plenary of the National Electoral Council (CNE) yesterday appointed the new authorities who shall serve for the next three years. Paul Salazar was inaugurated president of the CNE by the plenary until 2017.
Salazar is a computer engineer, and is recognized for his expertise in the technological field, serving as Vice President of the CNE since 2012.
Furthermore, Mauricio Tayupanta was elected as the new Vice President of the electoral entity.
Tayupanta served as an adviser to the outgoing president of the CNE.
