Petroamazonas production registers significant rise

Petroecuador-ProducciónThe State Oil Company of Ecuador, Petroamazonas (PAM EP), yesterday reported its highest production peak so far this year, with 366,410 barrels of oil, said in a statement.

The company noted that the increase was mainly due to the results obtained in the wells North Palo Azul 51, Shushufindi 169 and Coca K-25.

Petroamazonas also reported a production increase in the Apaika field of Block 31, which currently has a production of 4,076 barrels of oil, and indicated that in recent weeks started the production of the wells Apaika 2 and 5.

“The Petroamazonas EP production target for 2014 it is 327,585 barrels,” they stated.

According to Oswaldo Madrid, Petroamazonas CEO, “the company is constantly working on adding new techniques to achieve sustained production, always looking for technology to meet the conditions of the ecosystem” where it operates.
