Philip VI will represent Spain at the opening of the General Assembly of the United Nations, which every September gathers the leaders of the 193 member states in New York.
The Spanish government and the royal family would agree Philip to be the one who go to the appointment as head of state, according to the Spanish newspaper El Pais.
His speech will be the foreign policy agenda of the new reign. “The choice of the UN as a framework to expose it is a statement of intent”, says the Spanish newspaper.
