Pilgrimage of the Virgin of El Cisne Culminates

The procession of the Virgen del Cisne finally culminated in the city of Loja. She arrived yesterday at 4:00pm, with thousands of local and foreign parishioners, who despite the cold and rain escorted “la portentosa” on her tour around the country.

The Virgin arrived to the military zone where the highest authorities honored her as “General of the Armed Forces,” in a military ceremony. At 5:30pm was carried on shoulders to the gateway of the city, where she was given the “Lojanidad Band” and then entered the central park of Loja. The image will remain in this city until next November 1.
