The Ecuadorian Government announced yesterday the arrest of the Colombian Jorge Domingues known as Palustre, one of the heads of the extreme right band linked to the drug trade known as “Los Rastrojos” that was strengthened after the disarmament and demobilization of the United self-defense forces of Colombia (AUC), the main paramilitary group of extreme right of that country.
The Minister of the Interior, José Serrano, said through his Twitter account: “He is one of the most wanted in Colombia, he will be immediately deported”.
Dominguez was captured in the city of Manta by the anti-narcotics police, the Ecuadorian authorities did not provide further details on the capture.
Palustre, according to Colombian authorities, is the former Chief of a group of gunmen from a powerful band of drug traffickers known as the Comba brothers, whose main leaders were handed over to the United States justice.
“Los Rastrojos” are known for being the main band of criminals in the country along with the Urabeños, which maintain a constant struggle for the control of drug trafficking.
