Placido Domingo hospitalized for a pulmonary embolism

Spanish tenor Placido Domingo, 72, was hospitalized on Monday, in Madrid, after suffering a blockage in an artery of his lungs caused by a blood clot.
Opera singer must rest until his full recovery, forcing him to miss the last two performances scheduled for this month. His return to the stage will depend on how quickly he recovers.
This Sunday was canceled his performances in “Il Postino” by Daniel Catan, which would start on July 17 at the Teatro Real in Madrid, as well as a performance on July 21 at the Plaza Mayor.
