Ecuador and Latin America demand explanations from the U.S. for espionage

After the Brazilian newspaper O Globo published information about the alleged espionage carried out in the United States, to Argentina, Colombia, Brazil, Ecuador, Mexico and Venezuela. The deputy president of Ecuador, Jorge Glas Espinel said that the country should clarify the controversial allegations.
“There has to be transparency. They have to respect international standards that protect the right to privacy of telecommunications, which have evidently been violated” and that “explanations and corrections are required at the highest level,” broadcasted a media of the regime.
Officials from Argentina, Brazil and Mexico also expressed their rejection of these actions. According to the article in O Globo the information captured by the National Security Agency U.S. refers to military and security issues, on issues of Venezuela is the oil and energy in Mexico.
