Pope Benedict XVI interacted on Twitter

Pope Benedict XVI premiered himself as tweeterer after posting his first official message from his personal Twitter account. The Pope expressed his joy for being in contact with users of Twitter, who received the Pope’s blessing.

“Dear friends, I am pleased to get in touch with you through Twitter. Thank you for your generous response. I bless all of you from my heart,” said the Pope in his first tweet via @Pontifex.

So far the Pope has answered three questions on his Twitter account. But he does not write it directly; his collaborators write the tweets and send them once the head of the Catholic Church gives his approval.
