President Correa: “Ecuador can be proud …” on human rights

Posted On 17 Aug 2019
correaPresident Rafael Correa said this December 10 through his Twitter account that the country can “be proud” on human rights and stressed that this is one of the few countries that have subscribed all international treaties on the subject.

“Ecuador can be proud: of the 34 American countries, it is one of the only seven countries that have absolutely signed all Inter-American Human Rights conventions,” said Correa in the social network.

He also stressed that the country that has not signed any Inter-American human rights convention is the United States,”the host country of the OAS and seat and almost absolute financier of the IACHR.” “Does this resist some logic?,”asked Correa.
