President Correa qualifies as a “destabilization attempt” the labor unions march
President Rafael Correa warned this Tuesday, September 16 that his government will face on the 17th of the same month an attempt of destabilization by the labor unions, who will march in Quito.
“Let no man deceive, they want to see if it works and a destabilizing process occurs as the one in Venezuela,” said Correa, during the inauguration of the pedestrian bridge between the Durán county and the Santay island .
The President said that with the march, which will be attended by professionals, labor, indigenous people and students organizations, they seek to”break the government, to hurt,” and proclaimed, “They will not achieve it, I’m going home before yielding to unreason.”
For this, Correa called on his sympathizers for a concentration outside the Carondelet Palace in Quito, at the same hour when the opposition marchwill held.
