UK Leaders published a letter offering more powers to Scotland
The Conservative Prime Minister, David Cameron, his government ally, the Liberal Nick Clegg, and the leader of the Labour Opposition, Ed Miliband, yesterday presented their proposal of providing more powers to Scotland. This offer was made two days before the referendum on the independence.
With the title of “The vow”, in front of the Scottish Daily Record, they said: “The Scottish Parliament is permanent and extensive new powers will be granted by a process and a timetable agreed by our three parties, beginning on September 19”.
Furthermore, they added: “We agree that the UK exists to ensure opportunities and security for all, sharing our resources equitably among the four nations”.
“People want changes. The victory of the ‘No’ would bring more safer and faster changes than the separation”, concluded the document.
There is just one day left for Scotland residents to go to the polls to decide whether the country should become independent from the United Kingdom or not.
