President Daniel Noboa visited the Quito Metro

On the morning of this Wednesday, November 29, 2023, President Daniel Noboa, together with the mayor of Quito, Pabel Muñoz and the president of the National Assembly, Henry Kronfle, took a tour of the San Francisco station of the Quito Metro. From that place they made a trip to the Universidad Central station.

President Noboa had a first dialogue with the mayor of Quito, Pabel Muñoz.

The main executive and legislative authorities learned about the facilities of this new means of transportation in the capital. In addition, they were explained about the collection system, the operation of the trains, the protocols, security with the 700 monitoring cameras, the police presence, the Zero Harassment campaign, among other topics.

The President took advantage of the visit to open his City Account, linked his ID and received his City Card to travel on the most modern transportation system in the country and all of Latin America, which will transform mobility in the Metropolitan District of Quito.

Then he moved through the station, greeted the Metro employees and entered one of the cars to head towards the Central University station. “I’m surprised, it’s incredible! The Metro will be fundamental for the development of Quito and Ecuador,” highlighted the President.

In this regard, Mayor Muñoz pointed out that this meeting shows that “the country at this moment is privileging points of unity rather than divergences or points of disagreement. If the Metro is a pretext for that and if Quito can be, as the capital of the republic, also the scenario in which we find more points of coincidence than the Metro and many more. “

For his part, the President of the Assembly indicated that the Metro is a wonderful work for Quito that builds, facilitates, unites, and accelerates the economy and development of the city and the country, with a well-made infrastructure.

President of Ecuador and Mayor of Quito met in Carondelet

Prior to this tour, the President of the Republic, Daniel Noboa Azin, held his first dialogue with the mayor of Quito, Pabel Muñoz. From the Cabinet Room, in the Carondelet Palace, President Noboa assured that his expectation is to work together and maintain fluid communication with the Quito council, in favor of the well-being of its inhabitants.

The president expressed that this meeting allowed “to talk about the possibilities of solutions to certain delays that the State has to move forward together . ” For his part, the mayor of Quito, Pabel Muñoz, agreed with the expectation of having the best relationship with the National Government and hoped for success in the New Ecuador that will be implemented under the management of the Head of State.

The Minister of Transportation and Public Works (MTOP), Roberto Luque, and the Minister of Economy and Finance, Juan Carlos Vega, also participated in this space .
