President Noboa presented a new scholarship program for women
The President of the Republic, Daniel Noboa, completed his agenda of activities in the province of Chimborazo on June 11, 2024. In Riobamba, the Head of State presented the third-level study program “Becas Futuro Femenino”. It took place at the Chimborazo Higher Polytechnic School.

The “Female Future Scholarships” program is expected to benefit nearly 40,000 women with scholarships for third-level studies.
Until the end of the month, it is expected to benefit nearly 40,000 women with scholarships. “Today we are here from the province of Chimborazo, writing the beginning of a new story for you,” mentioned the President.
He stressed that “All these scholarships are the door to change, they are the opportunity to help their families, they are the opportunity to grow personally and professionally, to improve themselves; but above all they are the opportunity to change the past and bet on a future, a new one for Ecuador.”
So far, President Noboa said, 53,000 scholarships have been awarded. Of them, more than 40,000 are for women.
On the subject, César Vásquez, head of the Secretariat of Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (Senescyt), indicated that this initiative seeks to reduce the inequality gaps that marginalize women. “That drives and motivates us to move forward,” he said.
This program, aimed at women between 18 and 28 years old, is part of the Government’s actions to meet the needs of this population and guarantee the right to receive quality higher education.
The scholarship covers 100% of the costs of tuition and fees for technical and technological careers. In addition, it will prioritize women with permanent disabilities, victims of gender violence, those with limited resources, and returned migrants.
The “Female Future Scholarships” belong to the Human Talent Strengthening program promoted by the Secretariat of Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (Senescyt) whose main objective is for more Ecuadorians to access and complete their higher education.
These scholarships are added to those already awarded during the first semester of 2024: Saudi National Scholarships 2024 and ‘El Nuevo Ecuador 2024’ National Scholarships.
