Bolivian President Evo Morales arrived Wednesday to one of the hardest hit areas of the Ecuadorean coast by the earthquake of April 16, where he handed over tons of humanitarian aid.
“To Brother Rafael (Correa) and his courageous Ecuadorian people, we express our complete solidarity, we are by your side,” Morales said upon his arrival to the country.
The president went to Manta, one of the most affected cities by the earthquake, and was received by his counterpart Correa, with whom he undertook a tour through some areas.
Bolivia has sent three aircraft with humanitarian aid, which make a total of 95 tons of water, food and tents, including other supplies.
