Presidential office will relocate in Epiclachima Military Fort

The presidential office will relocate from 2015 to Epiclachima Military Fort, located in the area of San Bartolo, in the south of Quito, as reported on August 27 Maria Fernanda Espinosa, Minister of Defense. This headquarters will host various administrative offices as well as the Ministries of Defence and Policy.
The project has a cost of $ 219 million. It aims to reduce costs and locate the military fortress in areas considered strategic.
The Epiclachima headquarters will be transferred to the Engineers Army Corps, located at Av. Rodrigo Chávez. Minister Espinoza also said that is relevant the relocation of the barracks, because the risk and threats scenarios to regional and global levels have been modified.
