Profits in arrears from Ecudos will be paid

Francisco Vacas, head of the Ministry of Labour Relations announced that starting tomorrow, Friday, workers of the sugar company Ecudos might know through the web portal of the ministry the amount each one will receive for profits from the period 2004 to 2007.

Ecudos is one of the companies seized in 2008 to the Isaías brothers, ex-bankers, to settle debts to the State.

The act had the presence of union leaders and Governor of Cañar Stalin González. Vacas stated that the money will be deposited directly into the bank account of each employee. Also mentioned that $ 1’800 .000 is the estimated amount to deliver to the employees.

The delay in canceling the money claimed by the employees arose after a disagreement between the legal representatives of the employees and officials of the ministry, according to Vacas.

Similarly, he stated that the beneficiaries will appear in a list drawn up by the ministry and they don’t have to pay anything.
