Pronobis announces great investments for 2014

Sergio Torassa, Executive Chairman of the company Pronobis, said that the company has planned for 2014 several infrastructure projects which include an investment of $120 million.

Among the major plans are the Gran Condor hotel, which will be located in the city of Quito; La Ciudad del Sol, in Machala; and in Guayaquil the 100 Business Plaza, in the space located between the offices of Nobis and the Sheraton hotel.

The construction of the Gran Condor that will have an area of 15.000 m² is is expected to start by January 2, 2014, and will have 140 rooms which may be increased ton240 and  will have rooms for meetings, events and restaurants.

“The lot where the hotel will be built turns its back to the airport runway and is completely open to the West, allowing to admire the city of Quito and its imposing Pichincha volcano,” said Torassa, who added that next year will also begin the marketing of the first three buildings of the Karibau project, which will be located in Engabao (Playas).

Another Pronobis plans is to add a shopping area and of service to River City, a complex of offices and departments of the city of Guayaquil (currently includes The Point, Wyndham Riverfront I and II).

To do so, according to Torassa, the company had to buy, through auction, to the municipality of Guayaquil a land of 10.491 meters valued at around $5 million.
