Prosecutor asks for version of Alexis Mera and Raúl Patiño in the Balda case

The fiscal impulse of Perez leaves in the hands of the public prosecutor Ximena Mena, of the Unit of Previous Inquiries and Fiscal Instructions, the taking of these versions that were arranged for the 9 of next July in the facilities of the General Office of the Attorney, to the north of Quito. The fiscal instruction in this case will conclude on July 18, once the former Director of Intelligence of the Police, General Fausto Tamayo, and the former Secretary of Senain Pablo Romero were linked to the case.
Last Monday, Judge Daniella Camacho – who is in charge of the case – also linked the trial to former President Rafael Correa. With him, there are six people investigated in this case who initially had as detainees the Ecuadorian intelligence agents Raúl Ch., Jessica F. and Jorge E.
Within this same judicial process, regarding the version of Fernando Alvarado and his request that it be deferred and taken in Guayaquil, it was arranged that the former Secretary of Communication of Correa be present to version in Quito on July 2 at 3:00 p.m. Meanwhile, for the extension of the version of the former Interior Minister José Serrano, was arranged on July 6 next at 14:30, also in the capital.
