Prosecutor receives complaint against the CONAIE president

Coloma criticized the Prosecutor for not having initiated an investigation ex officio for this obvious hate crime. “They (Prosecutor’s Office) as their own responsibility had to follow, investigate, obtain the videos and follow the criminal procedure.”

Citizens who filed the criminal complaint also criticized the Ombudsman’s Office and the Attorney General’s Office for not filing a formal complaint after the events occurred.

“It is time for citizens to present, not in favor of the President of the Republic, but in favor of all this vulnerable group of people that the State is called to defend,” Perez concluded.

Regarding his expressions, Vargas, through a letter of clarification, acknowledged that he made them with “iras”, after the death of brothers and sisters “of his bases. “If having used that language requires that I apologize, I accept it and I do it with all the people to whom this has offended in particular.”
