Puerto Baquerizo Moreno in movement of loading and unloading by vessel aground

The stranding of the ‘Floreana’ vessel makes Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, in the San Cristobal Island in the Galapagos, a center of cargo movement and endless discharge.
Since January 29, more than a hundred people, including traders and longshoremen from the Santa Cruz, Isabela and Floreana islands work there disembarking the ship’s cargo, which ran aground on Wednesday in the Naufragio Bay sector.
One of the measures is that the ‘Charito’ barge disembarks part of the 1,500 tons of products to lighten the weight until the two tugs of the Superintendecy of the Balao Oil Terminal in Esmeraldas, arrive to remove the boat.
