Remains of Sharon arrived for burial
The remains of Ariel Sharon, former Israeli Prime Minister, arrived today at the farm where the burial is going to be performed, which is located in the southern Negev desert.
After being moved from Jerusalem, where the funeral took place, the Israeli army generals disembarked the casket draped with the flag of Israel.
The former minister will be buried next to his wife Lili, on a plot called Anemones Hill, near the Sycamore Farm, owned by Sharon. 800 guests will attend the event and thousands of citizens will follow the funeral with screens which will be located next to the farm.
Sharon died on Saturday at the age of 85, after more than eight years in a vegetative state, after suffering a massive stroke in 2006, that separated him prematurely of the Headquarters of the Israeli government.
