Juan Manuel Santos
During an interview with Noticias Caracol, the Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos, complained about the FARC request to bring Simon Trinidad into the process.
“We have said that this process must be Swift, serious, dignified and realistic, and the request of Simon, is not realistic,” added Santos. The president pointed out the announcement that the guerrilla made regarding the pact with the government about the cease-fire.
Santos was clear and assured that the public force will continue to fight the insurgence until the end of the conflict is signed. During the press conference given by the FARC in La Habana, Cuba, the guerrilla assured that they do not have any hostages. Santos stated, “I can corroborate that they renounced to the kidnapping.” AV
