Sexual and professional soccer players work will be included in the Draft Labor Law

Ruling party members unveiled two new issues in the first debate of the draft Law for the Labor Justice and Recognition for the Household Labor. These are: sex work and professional soccer activity; and shall be included in the report of the second debate for final approval.

Ximena Ponce, of Alianza PAIS (AP), justified her request to incorporate sex work as a category of work on the project so that working hours, holidays and other awards are regulated.

While Liliana Guzman, also from AP, raised the incorporation of the professional soccer activity into the Labour Code due to the number of complaints of violation of labor rights reported in this sector. “This activity should have a special contract to regulate the working hours with terms agreed by the parties.”
