Shanghai on High Alert Due to Haikui Typhoon

This Tuesday Shanghai could be facing one of the worst typhoons produced in previous years. The weather observatory of Zhejiang confirmed that the winds of the typhoon will have a strength of 144 kph according to a report of the Xinhua news agency.
The agency informed that the financial district of the country was planning a 200,000 people evacuation. The neighboring province of Zhejiang has already evacuated 130.000 residents.
The Meteorological Agency of China foresees that the Haikui typhoon hits the eastern seaboard of China, between the cities of Ningbo and Wenzhou from Tuesday night to the Wednesday dawn. The typhoon will cause heavy rains and strong winds for 48 hours. (AV)
