South Africa: Women aged 62 and 9 years old child get married

Saneie Masilela, 9-year-old native of Ximhungwe, South Africa, had a revealing dream, in which his ancestors asked him to take as his wife Helen Shabangu, a 62 years old woman who has five children between 28 and 38 years of age.

According to the online version of the tabloid “The Daily Mirror”, Masilela would be the youngest husband in the world. The couple married a year ago, but at the insistence of the child, they had second nuptials under the African ritual. Both families, the groom´s  and the bride´s, indicated that the ritual is symbolic. ‘I chose Helen because I love her and although we don’t live together all the time we meet at the dumping site where my mother works regularly.’
