Supercom fines La Hora newspaper

The Superintendency of Information and Communication (Supercom), fined La Hora Newspaper with a penalty equal to 2% of the average turnover of the last three months. This sanction was issued “for taking institutional position on the guilt of people involved in a legal investigation, before a judgment rendered by a competent court”.
The Supercom notes that the newspaper, on May 7, used expressions like “overwhelming evidence” and “the defendant stabs them in the back, that caused its death”, among others.
The Supercom asked for the the fine to be paid within “three days from the date of notification”.
