Spanish priest with Ebola will not receive ZMapp serum

The Spanish priest Manuel García Viejó, 69, infected by the Ebola virus, and who was repatriated on Monday, September 22 from Sierra Leone to Spain, will not be treated with the experimental serum ZMapp, while other alternatives are studied to save his life.
The medical team treating the priest said that the missionary is in serious condition and dehydrated, which has affected the functioning of hiskidneys and liver.
Doctor José Ramón Arribas, who works at hospital Carlos III in Madrid, explained at a press conference that ZMapp samples are not available anymore and other treatment ways are discussed, including the possibility of giving him serum of another cured patient, which contains antibodies to fight the disease.
